Noorderboog Care Group transforms IT with Pink Elephant

With eighteen locations in Drenthe and Overijssel, Zorggroep Noorderboog provides care to the elderly on a daily basis. With over two thousand employees and more than a thousand volunteers, good communication is essential. But the digital workplace that everyone had to work with was slow and outdated.

Together with Noorderboog, we looked at how things could be done differently. The wish was clear: a modern, accessible workplace that feels as intuitive as the apps people use at home. Not just one more system, but one place where everything comes together. That became Noor 2.0 - a portal that shows at a glance what is going on in the organisation, with news, calendars, protocols and all important documents right at hand.

What was important was that it remained simple. Employees no longer have to struggle through different screens and passwords, but can access their information anywhere and anytime; whether in the office, at home or on the road. Volunteers were also given access to their own environment within Noor 2.0, so they stay better involved in the organisation and are always up to date with the latest news.

The result can be felt on the shop floor. Employees spend less time searching for files or solving technical problems, leaving more time and energy for what ultimately matters: good care. Communication has become clearer, cooperation easier and the frustration that the old workplace caused is a thing of the past.

Noorderboog deliberately chose Pink Elephant because of our experience in healthcare and our approach: close to the people, with attention to adoption and ease of use. No technological promises on paper, but a solution that works in practice. This is how Noor 2.0 grew into more than just an IT project. It became a tool that supports healthcare and brings the organisation closer together.
